The
K16 surfschool started in 2002 under the initiative of an expert group of
surfers who, after noticing the lack of teaching centers for surfing in
Tenerife and the great potential of the waves found on the island,
decided to push the sport and develop a specialized and professional
teaching program.
The
K16 surf school is an official school backed by the Canarian Surfing
Federation (F.C.S) and the Arona Sports Sponsorship.
All
instructors in our team have professional diplomas accepted by the
corresponding federations, and speak two or more languages.
The
surf school is situated in Playa de Las Americas, just a few meters away
from the best waves
in
the south of Tenerife.

surf school is possibly the most complete and professional surfschool on the
island. We have the best equipment for adequate tecnical teaching. Our
philosophy has provided hundreds of new surfers with a solid and secure
basis, and helped them to know and enjoy surfing
The
surf lessons that we offer at K16 are adapted to the needs of each pupil
weather resident on the island or not.
The
school is open all year and accepts pupils of all ages from 7 years if they
know how to swim well. We have varios teaching programs, each one is
adequate for the kind of pupil and the time prepared.

Initiation lesson.
2 hours for those who would like to try surfing. Also good if you tried
surfing before and want to learn more and get to know our surfspots.

Complete surf course.
Five two hour lessons for those who would like a solid basic knowledge
in surfing.

Training course.
For those who have started surfing and would like to push what they know
to a higher level.

lessons.
For school or business outings.

For those who are thinking of entering their first competitions or would

a more professional surfing level.
